Reiki is a beautiful relaxing and sometimes very powerful healing modality. For this reason I would suggest that Alcohol and recreational substance use are kept out of your body for 24 hours before a session, and after a session. Also try to limit caffeine on the day, and drink plenty of water.
Wear comfortable breathable clothing. You will be asked to remove your shoes whilst lying on the table so wearing socks is advisable.
Practice relaxation or meditation. This is not essential but is most certainly helpful for your mind, body and soul.
