What are Chakras?

Chakras are energy centres that are located within your energy body. They are placed along your spine. All chakras are responsible for physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of your life.

The 1st Chakra/Root Chakra is placed at the bottom of your spine. The colour of this Chakra is Red, and is responsible for the lower physical body (legs lower back, Colon, adrenal glands). Also, Stability, survival instincts, financial decisions, and feeling grounded.

The 2nd Chakra/Sacral Chakra is placed in the lower abdomen. The colour of this Chakra is Orange and is responsible for for your physical reproductive organs, kidneys, bladder and lower abdomen. Emotional associations are creativity, sexuality, pleasure and emotional balance

The 3rd Chakra/Solar Plexus is exactly where the Solar Plexus is. The colour of this Chakra is Yellow is responsible for the digestive system, liver, pancreas and metabolism. It is linked to self-esteem, confidence, intuition and your own personal power.

The 4th Chakra/Heart is again exactly where the Heart is. The colour of this Chakra is Green and is responsible for the Heart, lungs, chest, arms and circulatory system. The Heart centre allows love to flow out and in, compassion, forgiveness and relationships.

The 5th Chakra/Throat Chakra is located in the throat. The colour of this chakra is Sky Blue. The physical ailments can include, throat issues, neck problems, thyroid and mouth issues. Emotion's attached to this Chakra are communication, self expression, and truth.

The 6th Chakra/Third eye is located between you eyebrows and is the colour Indigo. The third eye is responsible for the brain, eyes, pituitary glands and nervous system. It is connected to intuition, insight, imagination and wisdom.

The 7th Chakra/Crown Chakra is placed at the top of your head. The colours associated with chakra are purple and white. Physically the Crown Chakra is responsible for the entire nervous system, and the brain. The Crown Chakra is the link to the spiritual connection, enlightenment and higher consciousness.
